O Curso de Arquitectura da Católica fez 10 anos durante o ano lectivo 2011/2012.
Orgulhamo-nos de, nos últimos 3 anos, termos obtido a quase plena empregabilidade (97%) para os nossos alunos.

 

Entretanto o mundo mudou, Portugal mudou.
Mas connosco a Arquitectura continuará a ser uma profissão com futuro, apesar dos “profetas da desgraça”: pela simples razão de que a Arquitectura é feita para as pessoas — e as pessoas necessitarão sempre de bons espaços que as acolham.
E porque a Arquitectura é feita com o entusiasmo que cada estudante / arquitecto sente dentro de si.

Por isso ensinamos os nossos alunos a estudar o mundo em que vão intervir, a compreendê-lo para melhor o adaptar às pessoas e às necessidades emergentes do Século XXI.
Talvez a chave resida na dimensão das turmas (cerca de 15 alunos por professor de Projecto) que permite um ensino personalizado e focado no aluno, de incentivo ao mérito, num ensino de proximidade — com os melhores profissionais.

 

Cada aluno é único — e isso revela-se nos Ateliers de Projecto, que respeitam e estimulam a sua individualidade.
A ancoragem do curso na realidade nacional, centrada na região, permite uma preparação para o mercado de trabalho real — complementada por viagens de estudo ao Estrangeiro.

E porque o Mundo é mais vasto e todo o Arquitecto necessita de o conhecer, quando não podemos ir lá fora, trazemos o Mundo até nós — com um programa ambicioso e regular de conferencistas portugueses e estrangeiros.

​Architecture course UCP-Viseu



The Architecture course of UCP-Viseu turned 10 years during the school year 2011/2012. We take pride onf having obtained almost full employment (97%) for our students in the past three years.​
 

In the meantime, the world has changed, Portugal changed ... But with us Architecture will continue to be a profession with a future, despite the "prophets of doom": for the simple reason that the Architecture is made for people - and people will always need qualified spaces to inhabit. And because Architecture is created by the enthusiasm that each student / architect has inside. So, we teach our students to observe the world in which they will intervene, to understand it, and to better transform it to meet the emerging needs of the XXI Century society.​
 

Perhaps the key lies in the size of our classes (about 15 students per Project teacher), that enables a personalized and student oriented education – secured by the best professionals. Here each student is unique - and this is revealed in the Project classes, that respect and encourage his/her individuality.​
 

The course’s rooting on the national reality, centred in the region, complemented by study trips abroad, enables a good preparation for the job market. And because the world is wider and every Architect needs to know it, when we cannot go outside, we bring the world to us - with an ambitious and regular program of Portuguese and foreign speakers and events, as well as initiatives like Terra Amada.​
 

All this emerged in the hospitality and quality of life that Viseu like few cities provides, right in the center of Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula.​
